It is written: “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no records of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.“ -1 Corinthians 13:4-8
“There are many who want me to tell them of methods, and systems, and secret ways to becoming perfect. I can only tell them that the sole secret is a hearty love of God, and the only way of attaining love is by loving. You learn to speak by speaking, to study by studying, to run by running, to work by working; and just so, you learn to love God and man by loving.” -Francis de Sales
D.L. Moody stated: “It is a masterpiece of the devil to make us believe that children cannot understand religion. Would Christ have made a child the standard of faith if He had known that it was not capable of understanding His words?”
Longing to be loved? MEANING. PURPOSE. TRUTH. Jesus is the lover of your eternal soul! Your search for True love is found in Him! The blood of Jesus was shed for people to change the way we think and feel about God and each other. The keys to His Kingdom are given us! “But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.” -John 14:26
The process of loving can be made more complicated than it actually is. You do not need a college degree to know when you are being abused! Know that even a dog knows the difference between being kicked (deliberately) and being stumbled over (accidently). God has created humans in His image and above this creature (dog), so treat life with respect, please! Love trumps “freedom”; meaning, people must understand how their choices effect other people and community around them. e.g. A person may have the freedom to play loud music or to run a loud car exhaust, but does it cause offense to people trying to sleep at night? A person must go far beyond any written code/”State law” to love God and to love thy neighbor as thyself. Humility must ever be upon your person/spirit to avoid sin and its deceitful nature.
“Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin.” -Romans 3:19, 20
“Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody.” -Romans 12:17
“… In fact, violence merely increases hate. Returning violence for violence multiplies violence, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” -Martin Luther King, Jr.
“Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.” -Rom. 13:1
Strong and long lasting family, friend, and community relationships work only as God’s true love is put into practice by each individual.
“There is hardly a family who hasn’t, at one time or another, dreamed of coming away from the cares and pressures of life and the sinful world around them to settle down on some peaceful homestead… there to enjoy the Lord, His Creation, and to raise and enjoy their family in an atmosphere that promotes Godliness and wholesome cooperation, kind attitudes, and valuable character for life.” -Barth Family Ministries; Vermont
